My Big First Grader

Today was the first day of the next 15 years of no sleeping in for me. Colby started first grade! We were so used to staying up late and sleeping in that we are having to make a lot of changes around our house. It's hard to make a kid go to sleep when it's still light outside and when none of his friends are on track right now so they don't have to go to bed early. I'm sure over the next few weeks while we are all trying to adjust to this new life of ours there will be a lot of tears shed and fights with the boys. Then as soon as they get used to it he goes back off track. Yep, in three weeks he goes off track. Stupid if you ask me, track C is horrible but we didn't get to chose our track since it's the only track with the Chinese program. So then in six weeks when he goes back on we'll get to start this all over again. Ahh, the joy of year round school!

I thought I'd share some pictures of Colby on his first morning of first grade. I'm sure as the week goes on he won't look quite so chipper.
